The Diabetes Mellitus group is focused on autoimmunity and chronic complications related to DM. Our objectives are based to join the basic researches with clinic practices about DM, and its complications. In this regard, we are looking for new therapeutic approaches. Our group is interested in the pathogenesis and prevention of DM type 1, diabetic retinopathy and pathogenesis and maternal and perinatal complications during gestational DM.
