Our group is devoted to research on the physiological ad molecular basis controlling energy metabolism, in relation with pathologies such as obesity, diabetes and lipodystrophies. We focus on the control of brown and white adipose tissue functions and their metabolic cross-talk with other tissues, particularly heart. Current research involves the identification of endocrine and metabolic mechanisms of control of adipose and cardiac metabolism via autophagy regulation.
