Iban Seiliez group is interested in exploring the interplay between autophagy and the regulation of diverse physiological processes in fish, especially nutrition and metabolism. For this, our lab uses in vitro and in vivo models (zebrafish, medaka and rainbow trout) and different technologies, including gene edition, cellular microscopy, and omics.

Our group is part of the NuMéA (Nutrition Métabolisme et Aquaculture) research unit of INRAE and University of Pau University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour (France), and our projects are funded by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche, Communauté d’agglomération du Pays Basque and the European Union.
