Autophagy has a critical role in endothelial sinusoidal cells. Focusing in liver sinusoidal endothelial cells, our main objective is to characterize autophagy and its modulation for the identification of mediators come from endothelial sinusoid crucial in order to establish proregenerative or profibrotic activation mechanisms in response to hepatic disease and further development of therapy in patients.
